And it's the weekend again!

Good morning family! Awake at 5 am with Elkita and Stevo to take the dogs out. Now 9 am and still half a sleep but the mates are making their effect.

The mate is always a great companion. Not only to wake me up but it’s the perfect excuse to go share a while with someone at their house or in a park. The mate connection. Hooray for the Guarani Indians that discovered this tree in the basins of the Parana, Paraguay and Uruguay rivers. Today mate is a cultural icon.

Mate time with the lady

Welcome to the weekend. In the recent past years the weekends have been good but strange days for me. Normally, the weeks days have all the structure and the pattern were we do our “work” and then the weekend comes around which gives us two days to do all the rest of the things that we wanted to do throughout the week. When Saturday begins, a wave of ideas regarding personal projects, fun times, rest and other things rush into my head creating an anxious and overwhelming feeling which blocks me from accomplishing anything, plus there is literally not enough time to accomplish everything in my mind and then the weekend finishes and there is a feeling of non-accomplishment, plus I am still tired and plus I have half assed many things. I realize all this is a reality but also a reality coming from my mind and also I am already working on personal projects throughout the week so I think my brain patterns are changing.

It is funny that the weekend arrived and I find myself writing about this because actually this weekend I am not feeling that anxious. Maybe it’s because I am writing everyday so that is my structure rolling into the weekend, or because I was able to do a lot of sports this week so my brain does not have that extra energy to ramble, or maybe it’s the Dumortierit the stone of patience that my mother in law just gave me that she brought from Italy. This stone has metaphysical properties of promoting accomplishments, positive attitude, courage, trust, harmony, and helps us cope with panic and fear, based on the Damali – Jewelry for the Soul website. Hmm interesting synchronicity. Things are moving along. Regarding the mind rambling on I have heard some interesting ideas on calming the mind which comes from Buddhism and also training the mind so the talk inside the head is inspiring instead of expiring. This also ties to the designing our environments to make us strive concept that we talked about last week, This last idea comes from another Unmistakable Creative podcast with Seth Godin. There is infinite knowledge and wisdom in these podcast.

Dumortierit stone and it's bag,

I trust the universe is leading all of you through the path of learning and action to fulfill your prophecy this weekend.

Happy weekend to all. We are heading to my mother in laws birthday celebration and then we are celebrating with friends at night. Let’s see what the universe actually has for us. Practice openness and acceptance and set intentions as the first step of you creation. Blessings to all!

Designing and Creating our Happy Places

Woohooo! Exciting morning! No new revelations in the past hours but a lot happening in the physical realm. So as I said yesterday, we picked up veggies at the farmers market. I have a full cooler of fresh organic veggies. We also hit the surf. The waves were medium with a really nice shape so it was an epic session with the sun setting behind the clouds creating all the magic effect of dispersion and coloring the entire sky in different tones of red and blue.

These little moments make me happy and keep me sane. This takes me to another teaching I have received through a podcast of the Unmistakable Creative while driving to the beach yesterday. The main teaching is that we can design our environments so we can then feed from them without having to spend insane amount of will power energy to plow through the energies of our surroundings. By designing our environment appropriately the environment feeds us energy that helps us move towards where we want to go. The podcast’s guest that talked about this is Jim Bunch and the title of the podcast is called Designing your environment for optimal performance and creativity.

Nowadays a lot of people are trying to find their way and their purpose through this maze of life. More and more there is cluttering of information and cluttering of material things so it is hard to find the path or to set the vision. People are looking at wisdom leaders to find answers and in a lot of cases when listening to these leaders the guidance seems great but then when going back to their environments their energy gets sucked out of them again. Being an architect of our environments is a skill set we can develop to design and create the environments that help us strive to fulfill our purpose every day. Also, environments are not only our physical environments. Other environments can be our email inbox, our computer in general, our brains, our emotions, the people we hang out with, etc. Check in what state all your environments are and which ones make you strive and which ones suck the energy out of you. If we are creative we can could even design our environments so they interact with each other for extra benefit. If you are interested in this check out the podcast and check out other podcasts from the Unmistakable Creative, they are great and inspiring.

Going back to the things that have happened to me these days, like going to the farmers market, receiving sunshine, surfing and writing, these are all contributors to making my environments healthy which then help me strive in the rest of my life. In my case I need sports to be happy, I need to eat healthy food to be happy, I need to connect with nature to be happy and I need to cuddle with my wife to be happy, so that’s where I am heading tonight! Baby I’m coming home!

Facing Fears, Going for it, Teaching and Learning with Kids - Day 2

Ok, day 2, here we go! This morning I drove from Atenas to Playa Hermosa to Dave’s house. This is part of my Thursdays’ routine. There is an organic farmers market here in Playa Hermosa every Thursday so I make the trip to be able to hit up the market to have veggies for part of next week and I combine it with a visit to Dave and a couple of surfing sessions, so surfing this afternoon! Yohooo! It also looks like the waves are good.

Back to the commitment. The first day of this journey already gave its fruits. I was able to seize the moment and overcome fear and make a volunteering offer and create another purposeful commitment with my community all in one move! I love the universe showing the way and one being able to see it and going for it. Face your fears that’s where the path is, otherwise you just stay in your shelter with no path. My neighbor, a pre-kinder teacher in her home school started chatting with me across the fence and I made the move of offering help with the kids. I have been thinking about working with kids for a while, specifically using healthy eating and planting your own food as the basis for their education. Making a parenthesis, a man and a program that are already doing this pretty successfully and changing kids’ lives are Diego Ruete in Uruguay with his program Petit Gourmet. Check them out. Back to the preschool next door. This school always seemed like a great opportunity to put my foot through the door of education. The moment arose and I jumped in. The teacher and I agreed that I will volunteer once a week helping the kids with their English. Next step is to start preparing the class! Face the fear!

Do any of you have suggestions regarding progressive teaching tools? I was thinking I would use the environment to work on colors and numbers and make some interactive activities. Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated. I will try to incorporate some of Diego’s ideas.

Numbers and color through food.
This takes me to a second topic that has been in my recent life. Creating systems that do not depend on the monetary system, for example an all-help-all system without money in the middle or learning how the money system works and making it work for you. I will possibly expand on these subjects in other posts but I wanted to let you know that there is a movement starting that uses favors as the exchange between humans. Also, last night I went with my wife Elke to listen and interact with Robert Kyosaki the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad and he clearly showed how money is worth less and less every day, so working for money is working for something that does not really have value. Let’s work for what we believe in and work on helping others.

Serve our future.

On that note see you tomorrow!

Commitment, Focus and Finding the Passion Within

Hi all! I am back to the cyber world through this writing. This time I am using the cyber world to channel what’s in my brain, to put in writing in front of me all the ideas and projects I am working on so I can then distinguish the relevant, determine my passions and then focus on them like there is no tomorrow. The commitment starts today! I am committing to write for 30 days and I will only skip 5 days of the month. Come with me on this ride of introspection and connection. I will cover new amazing things that come into my life, updates of the projects I am working on, new projects that arise, the rough moments and my evolution. Come with me on this journey!

Follow the journey by adding your email on the right hand side bar.

Kids of the new generation!

Hi lovers!

We all know that kids come into existence through a loving experience and they come into this world with infinite wisdom. They have the ability to learn things quickly and their bodies are developing and mutating at high rates. Also they come into this world to provide infinite love to the people they come in contact with. It is also a reality that some kids are not given the opportunity to flower and reveal their full potential. We as kids' guides need to make the right decisions to ensure the flower in the kid has the chance to flourish. We could ask? how do we do this? How do we know what to do and how to guide them. Well, I am sure that all parents can say that there is an infinite wisdom inside them that comes out to help the kids evolve.

I have been thinking about this a lot. I have been given many opportunities in my life to flower myself and I am infinitely grateful for these. Also, I have been given some limitations, based on fearful society beliefs, that have limited my flowering. I am also grateful for these because it has given me a chance to recognize the opposites. Lately I have been thinking a lot on how to make the world a better place for all of us. I think this is something we all think. I get a little overwhelmed with the massive task but I have also started to recognize that big things can happen through small acts. I guess that's a little bit of a cliché but I think it is true. I have been gardening quite a bit lately and it is always a magical experience. First because I share with nature, second I have been able to be directly linked to the natural cycle of the mother earth and third it has given me the opportunity to share with close ones and show them my projects. I have to confess that I do feel proud of my projects :P.

Well, putting all of the above together a great idea came into manifestation and basically it is to start teaching kids about the life cycle of mother earth and show them how it is directly related to our existence. On a side note, kids are very present in my life because my mom works for a Montessori program, the house next door is a nursery and my girlfriend has young cousins which I had the pleasure to see grow and evolve the last couple of months. So how could I or we start teaching kids or start showing kids how to interact with mother earth? Start from the beginning I said, and well, that took me straight to composting. Composting teaches so many things of the cycle and it is a very simple hands on activity. COMPOST! I love compost so much hehe. Basically it teaches us and the kids how EVERYTHING is INTERCONNECTED. Our direct waste from our kitchen ends up being our food! That is the cycle. It also teaches us how the different levels of existence are so critical for everything to be. If the bugs, fungus and bacteria are happy, then the soil and birds are happy. If the soil and birds are happy then the plants are happy. If the plants are happy then the animals and humans are happy. If we are all happy we compost and then the bugs and the fungus and bacteria are happy! Wow! Well, this is what I have been thinking to myself a lot, but to start making this a reality, our kids have to be connected to this cycle. They don't have to be connected to it directly but they have to be in tune with it and to be in tune with it they have to see it and be with it.

So much of now-a-days inspiration comes from nature and who does not enjoy healthy mother earth?

I wanted to start this forum to collaborate on ideas on what you think kids now-a-days should be learning. The world is changing and this is a magical time. Let the ideas flow!

Stress?

Hi loving Oswaldians,

Here is the deal. Stress is a recurring subject now a days. From busy and demanding jobs to financial shortages to fear induced propaganda to long traffic heavy commutes, and the list can go on and on. Basically stress is part of the western society now a days. Maybe its part of all societies. I am no sure.

In the current belief system we advocate the belief that stress is harming to our lives. That if we could live with less stress we could live a happier, healthier, worry free life. I think this belief makes a lot of sense. Who wants stress!? Well, Kelly from the video below teaches us otherwise. If we could stop creating our belief systems based on supposing and create our belief system based on what is i think we could believe the same as Kelly. As many religions say, existence manifests itself in divine perfection. What is to be must be and what is IS. Here we go! So if we experience stress, that must be divine as well! Well, then we can ask? Why do we have to experience stress in this divine experience of existence! Well stress is nothing less than an amazing reaction that the body and the mind create to help us rise up to the challenging moment. Stress is a very powerful mecanism created by us, the humans and maybe animals, to help us cope with all the challenges that come our way in our life. And the challenges that are presented to us in our life are nothing less than trainings and teachings to take us to the next stage in our evolution. Don't avoid challenges to avoid stress. Inmerse yourself in your challenge-full calling and purpose and trust that your magical human nature will guide you through it.

Check out Kelly's video below which explains everything about stress.

Open your heart and bring your thoughts in and lets collaborate!

Blessings!

Cycle Starts

Put your ideas out there!

Re-Inventing the Wheel

What an invention the wheel! It let’s us exponentially increase our carrying capacity and makes it easy to transport things by changing a constant drag force to single point drag force. Following this invention came industrialization, and the media controlled propaganda to accommodate industrialization and some careless destruction of our Mother Earth was done. As a way to organize ourselves and all the production that came with this boom, the information and technology era arouse. Now technology, and specially the internet are letting us reconnect with ourselves again and freedom of speech is stronger than ever. People are being able to transmit their most inner truths and spread love and care and evolve to be able to survive this apocalypsis. Beware there is also misleading information.
After this little melancomedy, I come to the re-invention of the wheel, more specifically, the bicycle! Humanly propelled it uses air and food as its fuels and through and internal digestion and mental controls we are able to make the bicycle run efficiently with no GHG (Green House Gas) emissions (well, yes, technically we are producing GHG emissions, some from the use of Oxygen that then turns into CO2 by our lungs and every once in a while some Methane, depending on what foods we ingested jeje). Keeping our human temple fit we make the bicycle run.
Now, who uses bicycles now a days? I am thinking kids, people living in small communities, people that cannot afford cars, pedi cabbers, bi-cyclists and the list can go on! Hurray! The bicycle is still amongst us!
The car has made it a little harder for the bicycle to strive in our western community. Based on the car we have developed spread out communities where the human interaction (interactions human to human and human to Earth) is very little in the commute times, where bicycles and humans are having trouble surviving and where fauna and flora is being eradicated and even extinct by the development of highways and roads necessary for the use of the car.  Questions arise in me: “Why are people starving, why are we running out of food? Are we misusing our precious Mother Earth the provider of everything?” Even though the Earth has the potential for Abundance to maintain the balance of all living creatures we have derailed from or existence path (or maybe this way is the only way we could have gone to eventually SEE), and NOW we are here NOW, not using the Earth’s potential for Abundance and living with suffering in this beautiful Earth.
I have found a way to re-invent the wheel in my lifestyle. I try to use the bicycle as my common transportation (sometimes I use the skate and sometimes I use the car to make things easy and convenient for myself). But now I also found a trailer that I can hook up to my car. Now my bicycle is not just only a means to transport myself. I can transport myself, someone else, my groceries, fun things from the side of the road and even my dog Lupe when we go for long bike rides.
Re-invent the wheel in your daily lifestyle. Eventually we will have communities planned for the bicycles to ride easily and freely. Riding my bicycle, especially with the trailer, makes me feel great! I leave you with a little clip.

El Futuro de Vivir

Hola,

Gracias Pato.

Love and each one of us

Rastafari stands for universal love, a higher spiritual ideal that is not usually emphasized in the mainstream of Western society. To be a Rastafarian is to be a righteous person, continuously seeking to improve SELF. This process of self discovery is further clarified by the words of a St Lucian Rastafarian who said "The word Rastafari as I understand it means purely, the power that lies within any man which enables him to do anything he wants…. To be a Rastafarian therefore is to be conscious of that divine power, and to be developing one's power potential for achievement... Rastafari becomes therefore a philosophy of life fulfillment".

Viviendo Como Nos Dicata el Corazon

Hola hermanos y hermanas!

Ahora a componerse y descansar.

Surf

Osho

"So much has been given to you. Do you deserve it? Have you earned it? Existence goes on pouring so much over you that to ask for more is just ugly. That which you have received, you should be grateful for it. And the most beautiful thing is that when you are grateful, more and more existence starts pouring over you. It becomes a circle: the more you get, the more you become grateful; the more you become grateful, the more you get... and there is no end to it, it is an infinite process."
by Osho, from the book "Courage, the joy of living dangerously"
